Bird feeder question?
Posted by admin
xxiangel asked:
I have just bought a bird feeder from Menards, and I put it in my tree that is right by my back porch. It has been 2 days, and I have not seen the birds eat from it at all! Is it because they do not know its there or do they not like the food (Wild Cardinal food) ? How can I get the little ones to know it is there?

you may not attract a lot of birds with wild cardinal food, it’s kinda specific for cardinals or jays and other birds don’t get along with them. if you try cracked corn you should draw just about every bird in the area.

Try putting some food on the ground to attract some ground feeders. Some will eat from a feeders as well. A type of feed all kinds of birds love (but a bit upper priced) is “nut ‘n’ berry.” Birds really love it! It may just take a little more time for the birds to find the feeder. Be patient and enjoy.
