Home made bird feeder?

I need to find a way to make a home made bird feeder to keep the birds that are in out yard to stay.

I also need places that the birds can have babys instead of in our roof becouse thay keep on falling out of the roof and they die.

    pine cone covered in peanut butter with birds seeds stuck to it

    For the birds because of bird house or even box will help little.
    The bird house or box with hole in it will be more appealing to do but the cats or even box will help little.

    For the tree you may want to pick it out.
