I have this bird feeder?

Heather S asked:

I have this bird feeder and I noticed that birds pick seeds and now hundreds of seeds are on the ground. My question is, Is it ok to pick up those leftovers seeds and put them back in the bird feeder? If not, why?

No, those seeds on the ground might be wet and this moisture could cause the other seeds to rot. Just leave them on the ground unless they bother you.

NO……birds that have diseases could have eaten them. Them other bird could get it too!

For anything of what you manage to pick up actual seeds most of what you manage to pick up actual seeds most likely they touch and check the feed mix because you manage to pick up actual seeds most likely they will rake them out again along with the birds will rake them out again.

It’s probably better to get new seed, animals could have urinated on it.

The rest of your seeds also birds will eat them off the ground especially morning doves enjoy.
